Rafael Nadal said he might miss the tournament for the final season of tennis for men in London next month because of appendicitis.
Nadal recently returned to golf after recovering from a wrist injury and had hoped to postpone undergo surgery for the treatment of inflammation of the excess worms until the end of the season.
But with the approach of the tournament and the final involving the best eight players of the season seems to Nadal unsure of participation.
Nadal said winning 14 titles in Grand Slam for Sky Sports on Friday "suffered from injury for weeks so it was not an easy season for me in the end."
"It must be subjected to surgery, but it must find the right time. Need to follow up on how things are going and how my body will accept antibiotics."
He continued, "I will try to provide as much as I have to play in London, but I can not confirm this.'m Not fully confident."
Nadal was among qualify to London along with Novak Djokovic and world number one Swiss duo consisting of Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka Australian Open champion.
