Childhood obesity increases the risk of early-onset diabetes

A recent study conducted by the Leipzig University Hospital German that obesity increases the risk of early-onset diabetes in children warned, and proved the existence of pathological changes in the fatty tissues of children of school age who are overweight.

According to the German Center for Research and integrative therapy for diseases of obesity, these emergency pathological changes on adipose tissue associated with the start of insulin resistance, which is a metabolic disorder, and represents a preliminary stage of type II diabetes mellitus.

The study proved -alta included children under 18-year-old this link for the first time, where researchers found no clear changes in the fatty tissues in children aged six years who suffer from overweight.

The study concluded the importance of taking preventive measures early to fight childhood obesity, thus reducing the risk of developing diabetes at a young age.
