Google US company started to implement a project to deploy wireless Internet in remote areas using airships or balloons, but not in Southeast Asia and Africa, according to previous reports, but over the southern hemisphere of the earth from New Zealand.
Google revealed last Friday that this pilot program, which carries the name "Color Project" was launched this month from New Zealand using balloons solar-powered flying height exceeds the reach of the aircraft above the ground twice heights.
She added that this project uses algorithms similar to Google's search engine to identify the places where you need to go to the balloons, then driven towards the wind blowing in the desired direction.
Through movement with the wind balloons network of portable points air broadcast Internet signals that can allow access to the World Wide Web over a large area quickly close of the third generation using radio frequency range, and requires connect balloons installing an antenna of the Internet over the existing buildings on the ground.
Google reported that the thirty balloon launched in New Zealand this month will be broadcast online for a small group of users in the context of an attempt to improve this technology, and the formation of the next phase of the project, which the company did not specify the potential cost.
The Wall Street Journal reported last month, the report pointed out that Google will cooperate with local telecommunications companies to develop wireless networks outside the major cities, where no wired Internet lines available.
She said that Google is considering the use of balloons to create wireless networks across large areas, and they are already tested in Kenya and South Africa, is currently in talks with various governments to obtain permits for the use of spectrum, which provides TV signals for longer distances.
This step will help Google to gain more customers for their ads, and the company is working to develop a cheap Android phones price that will work with the wireless network.
